Oldie but a goodie.

When asking someone what comes to mind when you say the word daiquiri, you get a myriad of responses.

"Frozen."

"Strawberry."

"Too sweet."

"What's that?"

Well, the traditional daiquiri drink is something so simple and delicious that every bar man, woman and child with consent from a legal guardian should know how to make. It is a favorite of many including Ernest Hemingway and John. F. Kennedy. So when you make this classic cocktail, raise your glass and cheers the multitudes that have enjoyed it in years gone by.

While it can be enjoyed on the rocks, I prefer a nice vigorous shake in the tin and served straight up.

Daiquiri

2 oz. Gold Rum
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice.
3/4 oz. Simple Syrup

Garnish: Lime wedge

Preparation: Combine all ingredients into a mixing tin with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled rocks glass without ice.
