Easy, peasy...3, 2, 1.

Sometimes you want a cocktail recipe that shows a complexity while maintaining the easiness of a three piece jigsaw puzzle. Ok, maybe you want that all the time. Well, in the modern cocktail world of foams, dusts, reduced syrups and infusions this libation sticks its middle finger up and says its as easy as "3,2,1" to have subtle nuances, great mouthfeel and put a smile on your face.

Strawberry Breeze

3 Fresh strawberries
2 oz. Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
1 oz. Fresh lime juice
Splash Soda water
(simple syrup/agave nectar for optional sweetness)

Garnish: Thin slice of strawberry in center of glass

Preparation: Muddle the strawberries and optional simple syrup/agave nectar in a mixing tin. Add ice, Domaine de Canton and fresh lime. Shake vigorously for 10 secs and strain into a highball glass with ice. Top with splash of soda.

This also makes a great pitcher drink for parties since the muddled strawberries give it a great organic look.
